Two Heated Semi-Downdraft Spray Booths with 80 m² Heated & Ventilated Drying Room
Customer Requirements:
Primo Bathroomware has relocated to a new, purpose-built manufacturing facility in Wigram, Christchurch. The company required the design and installation of two state-of-the-art heated downdraft spray booths, integrated with an 80 m² heated and ventilated drying room to maximize daily production output.
The Viking spray booths feature fully insulated cabins constructed from FIM-approved, fire-retardant XLAM panels. Each booth includes emergency exit doors, sliding access doors to the paint room, and double front-loading doors with large viewing windows and specialized hardware.
Air handling is provided by indirect-fired stainless steel heat exchangers equipped with LPG burners, fully insulated air handling units, and supply air fans. Due to the facility’s solar panel–covered roof, exhaust discharge is side-wall mounted and extends vertically 3 meters above the roofline.
The electrically heated drying room operates under Viking’s fully automated PLC control system, ensuring seamless and efficient operation.
All equipment is designed, manufactured, and installed in New Zealand by Viking, and fully certified to AS/NZS 4114.
