When one thinks of the Dust Extraction Industry at first we envisage dust pollution like saw dust from a saw or perhaps a large planer machine in a timber mill. But it doesn’t take long to realise dust pollution exists in almost every manufacturing process of almost all things manufactured.

Take raw products such as wood, steel, glass, paint, paper and plastics as an example. To manufacture with any of these products will almost certainly create dust. But then go back a step to the creation or manufacture of these raw products and you have dust pollutants from the make up ingredient of these products.

With correctly designed ducting systems and appropriate air flows delivering pollutants from the point of creation to a disposal bin or transportable state, a filtering system is required to separate the dust pollutants from the transporting air.

When selecting the type of filter system to be used there are many considering factors. Such as volume of transported air, temperature of air or particulate, type of dust particulate, volume of dust, explosive dust, wet, dry, abrasive, fibre, sticky etc.

Viking has filtering system to cater for all dust extraction and filtering requirements. Understandably there is no “one size fits all” answer for this process.
