Area of use The FAC unit on wheels is the perfect solution for removing and filtering welding fumes from mobile work stations that carry out sporadic processes. The main product feature is its supporting structure that can be adapted both for mechanical (FAC-T) and electrostatic filtration (FAC-E) systems. Construction features The equipment comprises the following components: - a framemade from suitably thick epoxy powder-coated sheet steel, complete with wheels and handles for moving the machine around the workshop without jamming. Two castors, one with a brake, and two fixed wheels are fitted. - an electric fan unit, with a statically and Dynamically balanced "sirocco" blade impeller, complete with tropicalised IP55 protected motor and standard terminal board; ensures the required intake air flow; - variable filtering sectiondepending on the model. This can comprise an electrostatic cell or a rigid pocket filter. In both cases, however, a metal pre-filter and a synthetic post-filter are also fitted; - an electric control panel, that allows the machine to be used in perfect safety as it is fitted with a resettable hour meter, differential thermal overload cut-out and indicator lights for the electrostatic cell (if fitted); - an articulated armmod. IBSC with pipe diameter Of 160 mm, entirely made from aluminium with a Painted steel hood complete with gate valve. The fumes produced by the processes are captured thanks to the ease with which the arm can be positioned; this is caused by the thrust bearing on which it is installed that allows it to rotate by 360°. With its total length of 3 metres it can cover a work area with a radius of about 2.80 metres. More information about the FAC system (pdf 1.5mb)
